Home Again, Home Again, Jiggity-Jig

I went home this weekend :) yay!  When I pulled into O town I rolled down my window so I could smell the sweet Ogden air,  fist bumping the whole time. :) I could drive around those streets with my eyes closed, probably not a good thing.

I visited the new Mrs. Eborn! She got a new yellow slug bug so we were zooming around in the cutest little car. Honestly fits her perfectly :) We went to Kneaders for dinner and her apartment to make an adventurous dessert from pintrest :)  this is how it happened....
 Choosing a recipe...out of millions!

Mixing the Banana Bars :)

our  first attempt to make frosting, how did this happen? it smelled disgusting

2nd attempt to make frosting, we could squeeze the butter out of this.  Fail
After our second fail we decided to give the frosting up (our hips were thanking us)
30 minutes later....Voila!

Delicious bars and great company :)

I loved every minute we had together. I miss my sister time :) Then Jenn and Rach had a sleep over ready for me when I got home :) We all slept on the floor together and I heard all about their latest crushes, school, and favorite videos. I love them. Look at the cute note Rachel left for me :)

Notice the BYU blanket they had me sleep in :)
Sunday we drove to Idaho for my new baby cousins blessing. Boy he is adorable :)
straight from heaven
I haven't held a new born in years, I loved every single second of it:)

It was so great catching up with everyone, all my aunts and uncles and cousins and extended family! We even got to skype with Grandpa and Grandma Browning (their on a mission in Riverside California) Love them!
How adorable is My Aunt Amy??

Baby loving :)

Family :) It's like therapy. Especially when you haven't seen them in a while.  It was a wonderful weekend! The kind when it makes it hard to go back to school..... I'm So grateful for my family, the 40ish cousins I have, and all of my amazing aunts and uncles. It makes family get togethers become one BIG wonderful party :)

Living Young, Wild AND free :)

Life is going by so fast! It's already 9 weeks into the semester? Seriously where does the time go. Means finals are coming...

And it means that the leaves are dropping there leaves! Whenever I see a perfectly crunchy leaf I have to run over and step on it, :) It makes the coolest noise, walking to campus has become very difficult thanks to these crunchy fellas. On campus they have machines that suck the leaves up so I have to search for them. I found these at my apartment

All ready to be stepped on
The whole Y mountain has turned a deep red, it's seriously gorgeous!

Ignore the wire at the top, I'm no professional :)
Last week was Homecoming, I had to work during the game, but I went to the dance with my roomies, it was literally us and all the Freshman. I felt like a Cougar, in every sense of the word. Apparently it's a freshman thing to do here, oops :) I also need to reign my dancing in a little bit, I guess I was going a little crazy to Gangnam Style and I almost got in trouble... So I'm back to the signature moves I learned from my mom like the lawn mower, the shopping cart, the pizza and some exercising dance moves. Thanks mom! I learned from the best :)
Dancing with the freshman

This week Todd had his State Cross Country meet. Go SCOTS! I seriously could not miss this race, (I've missed all of his races this year and it drives me nuts not being there to support!) soo I made a little surprise visit :)

Mom and I at the start line :)
Todd's had some health problems running this year, not really sure why? He was rushed to the hospital....in an ambulance after one of his races. That scared me so bad, they couldn't really find anything, but I was so worried for him! For this race I kept calling him to make sure he was drinking lots of fluids and eating good food. (I'm sure he wasn't getting annoyed ;) )

Dad in his natural habitat

Todd did such a great job! So proud of my brother :) He didn't even pass out, this race was a definite success.

All done and still standing! :)
The course brought back so many memories of being in high school.... My heart was racing so fast.  it's been 3 whole years since I ran there! I can't believe it's been that long! Running there is one of the biggest adrenalin rushes, I was really happy to be a spectator this time :)

Watch out college scouts! Todd's on the loose :)
It was so good to see my family, like a breath of fresh air! I get to go home and to Idaho this week. My Uncle Curtis and Aunt Adie are blessing there new little one! :) I have a new cousin! Yay :) Can't wait to be with the whole Browning Clan. It's always a big party.

Did you know if you dress like a 3 year old and walk around campus people don't recognize/notice you?

Missions :)

General Conference was this last weekend and the prophet made a HUGE announcement  Boys can now serve a mission at age 18.....and girls at 19!!!!! Words cannot express the emotion's I felt when I heard that. I had to leave the room. Modern revelation in action. :) I know of so many of my friends prayers are being answered. I'm so grateful for a living prophet who receives revelation.  Many life's are about to change :)

Soo true :)
Saturday Morning session....it was early

I got to go to Conference on Sunday! I haven't been sense middle school, (and I'm from Utah!) it was just as good as I remembered. If you get tickets defiantly go! You don't even have to be a member :) It's always good to hear inspirational advice.

So much fun! (thanks Brooke for this picture!)
Dear Protesters, thanks you for entertaining me. You actually strengthen my testimony. :)

If you want to know more about this check out mormon.org

I got to watch the Sunday afternoon sess with my sweet adorable Grandma! I love spending time with her, she's amazing, and She literally made a feast for us. Yum! and Amber and JT stopped by on their way back from St. George. JT just ran the St. George marathon, he's pretty hard core) I was completely surprised to see them. I absolutely love them!

My wonderful Grandma! Love her :)

I probably should do laundry, my basket is getting dangerously high. Until next time

Falling in Fall Time

Falling It's a cool feeling, . It happens to all of us.  Some fall in love, for some Fall is their favorite  season and some just plain fall. I fall. Hiking, biking, rollerblading (I took my date down with me 3 times on that one, poor guy) It's one thing that makes me laugh really hard. At least it usually does, on Monday I was walk/running to class because I was running a tinny bit late. And BAMB I tripped over a little rock and sailed through the air. My shoe went flying. (A video worthy fall) I just laid on the ground for a minute, the skin on my hands was torn and bleeding. There just happened to be 8 other guys walking to class by me, embarrassing. My hands and knee were bleeding pretty heavily so I hobbled over to Helamen Halls to clean up. I walked around campus with paper towels strapped to my hands to stop the bleeding. One hand was oozing this white stuff....don't know if that's normal? I was hit by some major laughing attacks walking around campus. It was one of those days.

Band aid's make everything better :)

On the other hand I had a wonderful weekend. I went to a 90's dance party. (Yes 90's?!) I knew a total of 3 songs. Guess I wasn't really conscious during those years. We (roommates and I) had a wild dance party in our room.
Saturday we drove up to Park City #1 to see the pretty sites and #2 to go shopping. I only got us lost twice! (thank goodness for smart phones) On the way back we stopped at a random body of water and had some quality roommate time. Poor Gabi cut her foot, and there WAS A LOT OF BLOOD! like a trail. I ran down the beach yelling for help and band aids. and someone had a first aid kit.Thank goodness. With a band aid and Kadie's tank top they wrapped Gab's foot up and got her back home. She's A OK now! (thank goodness!) We ended up watching Women's Conference in our apartment. It was amazing.

Shopping time with the Roommates
I got to see my FAMILY on Sunday!! I drove home with my cousin Brooks and they fed us Sunday dinner. It's therapy going home. Ogden is so beautiful, the mountains are so welcoming there (I might be a little biased though)
Saturday Funzies
Did you know Once Upon A Time started again?? It's amazing. I can't wait for the rest of the season :)

I took my first test on campus last week, it's a beautiful building but super old school. There are no computers, everything is hand written tests, your in a room with like 1,000 other students (I'm not exaggerating either) It literally felt like I was in Harry Potter and taking my O.W.L.'s. Hopefully I'll still like that building by the end of the semester.

Absolutely love these girls

This weekend is the first week of October, which means Conference weekend! Can't wait to hear the messages they have prepared for us. It's always so inspiring.  Just a couple more days!

Girls will be Girls

Girls are messy. We really are, if you think boys are gross visit a girls apartment. We have hair everywhere, dishes piled in the sink, clothes EVERYWHERE (and I mean everywhere).

I'm a sloppy person but I like a clean house(bedroom is a different story) when you combine 6 of the same type together BAMB instant mess all the time. The kind of mess that gives you a shudder when you walk in the room, the bad kind. After school I put on my big girl pants and decided it was time to turn the dive into a home again.

Dishes, Dishes and more Dishes

We had three days worth of dishes in the sink (*gag) a dirty kitchen floor, and I couldn't tell if the front room was a bedroom or a living room? Kadie helped me clean, I love her! she deals with me when I get in my cleaning moods and always helps me out. and an hour later we had a semi-clean apartment again!  It feels so great. If you want to see a good looking apartment, stop by. We celebrated by making some pancakes. Yum :)

Kadie is now the pancake master :)

The biggest pancake this apartment has ever seen

Mom, just so you know I just folded ALL my laundry. Its the truth, there are no clothes on my bed. A real miracle.

Last week I met Jimmer, he was doing a book signing. I wasn't here for the Jimmer craze, I knew who he was but I wasn't a crazy Jimmer worshiper. But during the whole book signing I was impressed with how genuinely nice he was to everyone. I am now a Jimmer fan. Go Kings!

The crew

My roomates are becoming family! I love them so much, we have dance parties all the time, right now we're all learning the Gangnam Style dance.... Koreans are the thing right now. We are trying to be cool :)

 Life is beautiful!

Overflowing Toilets and other suprises

The roommates and I have made it a goal to clean our apartment up. When we first moved in it was gross. Actually it was disgusting. Trash everywhere. The smell was horrendous. We've washed a layer of grime off the floor, and discovered that the floor isn't really gray it's tan! We've painted our walls :) bought an air freshener. Gotten a new vacuum and cleaned drains out to get the smell to go away. And PRESTO! Our apartment looks tons better now. It's amazing what a little elbow grease can do to a place.

Cleaning the Apt up

Last week we were all doing our homework when the toilet started overflowing. We had no idea. The girls below ran up and told us mysterious water was coming from the ceiling, we opened the bathroom door and behold toilet water was everywhere. We somehow stopped the water form overflowing and called for help. but it was Gross!! I am not a toilet water kind of girl. The RA didn't even now what to do so we just left it over night. Bad idea, apparently toilet water and toilet paper don't mix when dried. Luckily the maintenance man fixed our toilet (yay) but didn't clean up the mess....that was up to us. I slapped on some gloves (thanks Gabi!) conjured some courage and went at it. The floors, toilet, and tub were sparkling by the time I was done.
Gabi and I took the trash out, that was defiantly the worst part...water from the "great flood" hadn't evaporated and was still sloshing around in that trash. Water doesn't go well with feminine products and other goodies, sooo NASTY! we were gagging the whole way to the trash can. but I honestly think the toilet overflowing was a blessing, because the bathroom looks better than it EVER has here. So Thank you toilet for malfunctioning.

Amber came to visit me! It's been soo hard being away from her and the rest of my family. I miss them like crazy. It was a blast having her here! I got to show her around P-Town. We went to Red Mango...(one of our favorites) and Brick Oven which is also delicious! and topped it all off with BYU Creamery ice cream. Chocolate chip cookie dough with a doughy cookie on top. The angels above were singing. It was amazing. I also think that if there is the word cookie dough in it there is no calories because it's not cooked, right?

That right there is Chicken Alfredo Pizza. Try some, it's delicious!

We watched the BYU vs UTAH game at a friends apartment..... what a crazy game. The cougs were soo close. I'm sad we lost, but I'm not disappointed in the team. They fought hard and I will love my cougars no matter what. Does anyone know where the kicker lives? I want to make him some cookies. Poor guy. I hope he doesn't feel to bad about that field goal.

Go COUGS!!

Amber had to leave and I was soo sad. It was hard to say goodbye...trying to smile while crying difficult. I miss her already and It's only been a day. Good thing she married an awesome guy, otherwise I would probably drive to Ogden and kidnap her on a regular basis.

Goodbye's are so hard

School is crazy. I love it. I need a new major. Suggestions are welcome. It's so hard to pick. I'll figure it our eventually, hopefully sooner than later! I also got to hike the Y.... again! Yay! I love that hike. I keep acting like a freshman sometimes and it's embarrassing, but I honestly can't help it, I get so excited for little things. I got to meet President Samuelson (he's such a nice guy!) Dad told me BYU is a "little-big world". So true! I love it. I love my new school, my roommates, skype, and all the things I'm learning here! I'm so grateful to be surrounded by such amazing people!

Cougar Town

It's finally official, I am a cougar. One of millions here. There are honestly so many people. My first day of school I walked around with my mouth hanging open. I felt like a little ant in a very VERY big School. People  are EVERYWHERE, all the time. It was intimidating, but now I've learned to just weave in and out of people.... or couples to get to class in time. A skill I acquired riding the bus home from school. It was a war trying to get on that yellow bus, Amber and I had the system down. I would fight my way on to save us a seat at the "prime location" and then she would join me when the battle was finished, I clearly was the competitive one. Thank you yellow school bus for preparing me for this mad jungle down here.

BYU vs Weber State. I couldn't pick a side :) Love them both!

It's a whole new world here, I see the funniest things walking around campus. A dad pushing a stroller running at FULL speed to class, (that really happened) two people kissing and riding their bikes at the same time. now that's talent? Next time I will ask if they want to go on America's Got Talent. The Bicyclist on campus are CRAZY! They ride sooo fast and almost run into us while we are walking to class. Scary. Scary. Scary. Thank goodness for the Bike Cops on campus who give out ickets :) They are legit tickets. I hear girls talk about who their "future companion" will be and all of the funny things BYU girls say, it just makes me laugh. BYU is a lot like what people say it is, but I love every second. Even the unusual ones, because It really is an amazing school. "Enter to Learn. Go Forth and Serve"

We painted our apartment. It looks like a home now
First day of school :)
My roommates are awesome. Gabi, Katie, Kadie, Jenna and Lindsay. They made me feel right at home. I feel like we're all family. It's impossible to get any school work done around here because we can't stop chatting. When I get home-sick they make me feel so much better :) I''ve been eating really, really, really, really bad down here. It's so hard to make food for one person when your in a hurry. So we started roommate dinners and I had real food two days in a row. Mom are you proud? No more cereal and chips for dinner anymore. Livin at  ghetto apartment makes me feel like I'm back in Ogden.  The people around here are great. But it's almost to social because we never get any sleep and I turn into a zombie without sleep. Defiantly not a good look.

True fans :)
I've officially hiked the "Y" three times now. I honestly love that hike, especially at night. My first day of school Igot a little lost trying to get back to my apartment so I just walked, and walked, and WALKED around campus and Heleman Halls trying to remember.  A little freshman boy tried to help me, but we both were lost. Bless his little heart for trying. I'm getting better at finding my way around. (yay!)

We made it to the top :)
I spending a lot of time in the library. Harold and I are becoming very good friends. I seriously love that place. I want to start quoting the "Old Spice" BYU commercial all the time. So funny. Every time I see a cart I want to hop on. There are some definite bonuses to going to such a big school. You get to see lots of 'famous' people doing normal things. I saw Riley Nielson and I freaked out.  Maybe one day I will stop acting like a freshman and become a pro at this BYU thing. Just maybe. :)

I love Provo. My Roomates. New Friends. New Places. and this New School! I can't wait for more of life's crazy adventures here in Cougar Town.
