This month has been a whirlwind of adventures for me. I learned how to sleep at my house ALL by myself. I was sooo scared! I'm a GIANT scardy cat. At times like that I have sleep overs with friends, but my boss challenged me to sleep by myself at home. (I'm a super competitive person...) so even though I knew I was going to be terrified, I knew I could do it. so I said a lot of prayers, A LOT of prayers. I slept in my parents bed, with the ipad to keep me company. and I survived!! Few. It wasn't too bad, but I don't want to do that again. I got to see all of my sweet Houghton Family at the Reunion! We stayed at a Resort In Wolf Creek and I loved every minute I got to spend with them. We had our own mini Olympics. Archery. Foam Sword battles. Swimming. Tennis. Volleyball. Intense Mah Jong, Cards, I think eating was probably even an event. So much fun.
Then wow I turned 20. Yep the big 2-0. It happens so fast. One day your playing in your back yard pretending to be a princess, (or in my case a servant. ask Amber ) and then BAMB your an adult, making adultish decisions. How did I get to be this old? I honestly have no idea. But here I am. That's the day I left Ogden. After 18 years of my life I said good bye.
I got a job at another Deseret Book, the one in Orem! It was a huge blessing. So I needed to move down earlier than I thought. Packing was so surreal, my room..... Oh my goodness. Memories came flooding back I may have shed a couple tears. My sweet parents helped me drive down. We all know my driving skills. So having them lead the way was a HUGE comfort. I just love them. And Amber Lynne came down for my birthday too!! :) I was so excited to see her. I sort of hate that she's married and we don't get to be together 24/7. It's hard. So it was like old times again! We went to P. F. Changs for my b-day dinner. yum. It was hard to say goodbye to them. SO hard.So much change in one day.

This summer has been an adventure. Caliente(my car) has been having some trouble. The windshield had a little rock chip (ok a HUGE rock chip) and when I gave it a little bath it cracked like crazy. All over. Mom was worried I would get pulled over and lose my liscence. soo I went to Technaglass with grandpa's help and Voala! Bran Spakin new windshield. Then a couple days later my cars fan stopped and there was no AC which is torture in a black car. So with the help of my wonderful technician/friend (brother Zundel) who has fixed my car countless times, I got that fixed. Dad helped out with that one. Thanks dad! Then Grandpa discovered my tires were completly bald. We went to big O and they said the tires were about ready to go, scary. So four new tires and two new struts. Caliente is going to make me bankrupt. But hey, my cars driving like new.

Driving down here is crazy. It's always so crowded and I have never been honked at so much in my whole entire life. Sometimes I don't think it's my fault. But I do get lost. A lot. Today I was lost for a good 20ish minutes. But it's all part of the adventure down here :)

Last sunday was the Bachlorette Finale! Oh My Goodness! I cried I was so happy. Possibly the most heartfelt proposal I have ever seen. I have watched that episode three times. and I've shed a tear everytime. Soo good. I wish them the best of luck!

Adorable :) I could watch the final over and over again. |
I miss my family and friends. It's so hard to be away from them for so long. We skype almost everyday. That helps. But I know this is where I'm supposed to be. It's soo fun to meet new people everyday and hang out down here. It's Almost like a different breed of people. In a good way though. I'm excited for all the new adventures about to happen! Life is Wonderful!
